WHEN FILING: Starting from the corners of the nail’s free edge, file toward center of nail, continuously filing in one direction. Use care to create an even shape. DO NOT file in a back-and-forth motion, as this can damage nail, causing breakage and peeling.
WHEN BUFFING: Move the block in a back-and-forth motion over surface area of the nail that has ridges or a visibly uneven texture. Prior to the application of gel polish, finish buffing with grit 600; if keeping nails bare, finish with grit 3000. DO NOT use grit 120 on nail surface as it is too coarse.
Pro Tip: The soft grits 220, 600, and 3000 can function as exfoliators for the nail bed; buff along the sides and the base of the nail to remove cuticle buildup.
