o Gently buff and cleanse the natural nail with a gelmoment nail file and cleanser to remove any oils or residue and allow it to dry completely.
o Apply a thin layer of gel extend to the natural nail, and cure using a gelmoment led lamp. avoid thick layers to ensure the product cures properly.
o Apply gelmoment nail forms under the free edge of the nail. secure the nail form into place using the metal arm, ensuring it is not in the way or covering any part of the nail.
o Using a small dollop of gel extend, apply the product to the mid-way point of the nail and work it up towards the free edge and onto the nail form until you have achieved the desired length.
o Apply the product evenly to help create a level surface.
o Cure gel extend.
o Remove nail forms by squeezing the metal pieces together until they pop away from the nail and wipe away any residue with a cleanser.
o File and shape the nails to your liking.
o If needed, apply a second layer of gel extend to level the product along the free edge of the nail and the extension.
o Apply your favourite gelmoment gel polish over the new extension and cure.
o Gel extend will not adhere to nails with any other product on them, so make sure the nails are clean, buffed and completely dry, before application.
o Using fortify or repair as a base for gel extend, may affect the application and/or durability of the product.
o Gel extend works best to extend the nail up to 2 mm from its natural tip. Anything beyond this length typically requires additional support. Results may vary.
o A solid extension may be challenging to achieve on extra short nails, as the nail forms need at least 1 mm of nail for proper support.
o Remove any gel polish to expose the surface of gel extend, using a gelmoment nail file or flake off remover.
o Once the gel polish is removed, place gelmoment gentle care remover pads over the gel extend and secure them into place with gelmoment remover clips allowing the product to soak for approximately 10-15 minutes. time may vary depending on length and thickness of gel extend. Repeat the process if necessary.
o Use a gelmoment cuticle pusher to lift off the gel extend once it’s been softened.
o Use a gelmoment nail file to remove any remaining residue of gel extend.
o After buffing and filing the nails, it is recommended to apply a gelmoment nail & cuticle oil to help hydrate the nail bed.
o Do your own refills with gel extend, instead of removing and reapplying the product.
o Use the 150-grit side of the gelmoment professional nail filing block to remove any excess gel polish and even out the surface.
o File off any uneven or lifting gel along the edges of the nail bed.
o File and shape your nails to the desired shape and length.
o Clean the nails using a cleanser pad.
o Use gel extend to fill in any gaps between the cuticle and the existing gel extension and cure.
o Apply your favourite gelmoment gel polish over the new extension and cure.
While wearing gel extend, you can remove and apply different gel polish colours, as desired, using either one of these two methods:
FILING OFF - Use either the 120-grit or 150-grit side of the gelmoment professional nail filing block to remove the gel polish and even out the surface of the gel extend.
FLAKE OFF – Use flake off to remove the gel polish as per the usual instructions. buff away any residue until the surface of the gel extend layer feels smooth.
